Making the right kinda noise!

What is Mel Communications?

Mel Communications is dedicated to creating PR & Marketing campaigns that really make an impact. Whether you’re a young start-up on a tight budget simply looking for advice, a business looking to outsource their PR and marketing or an established brand requiring additional ad hoc support then speaking to Mel is the right way forward.

Why Mel Communications?

Mel Communications was founded on a passion for all things public relations (PR) and Marketing by Melanie (Mel) Johnson-Holliday. Having worked across various B2B technology agencies and worked in-house, Mel wanted to use her skills to help organisations of all sizes to grow their business by raising awareness through creative campaigns and compelling content.

Working closely with your team, Mel Communications will create a plan of activity consisting of PR, marketing and social media activity that aligns with your key messages and objectives. Whatever your budget, we’ll consult and work out a strategy that will be a success for your organisation and can be adapted as we continue to work together.

We also offer ad hoc services that you can pick and mix at a time when you need them.

Who is Mel?

Mel with her dogs

With over 16 years' experience in PR & Marketing, Mel has worked up through the agency ranks from junior account executive to account director, worked in-house as Head of PR & Marketing and now launched Mel Communications to bring together everything she has learnt.

Her career has focussed on B2B technology with a stint in the consumer tech industry which has led her to work with brands such as Kaspersky, Airbus, Moonpig and most recently aql. Mel enjoys nothing more than creating campaigns and stories to drive brand awareness to help organisations to grow and achieve their goals.

Outside making stars of her clients, Mel enjoys walking her dogs around the Yorkshire countryside, talking about Airedale Terriers (and a Shih Tzu), crocheting and listening to BBC Six Music.
